Events
The Cowichan Agricultural Society (CAS) hosts regular workshops,
farm tours, professional development opportunities, and an annual Harvest BBQ to benefit
farmers, farms, and other agricultural stakeholders in the Cowichan Valley.

Workshops
Following CAS's successful 2009 workshop series that brought Joel Salatin to the Cowichan Valley, CAS is planning additional workshops. Details will be posted on this website when available. |
 |
Farm Tours
CAS meetings have been replaced with monthly farm tours during the summer of 2010 so we can learn from one another's experience and get out of our meeting hall and onto some fields. These tours are open to members only. |
 |
Fall Harvest BBQ
The 3rd Annual BBQ & Farmer's Market will be on Thursday, September 16, 2010, from 4:30-7:30pm at 5855 Clements Street in Duncan. Join us for a local food dinner served by local farmers, live music, and a farmer's market. |
 |
Political Tours
Every second year CAS hosts a tour of farms for local political representatives and government decision-makers to help connect farmers and their issues with those who have the power or potential to change agricultural policy. The next tour is scheduled for 2011. |
