We (Josh Crawford and Jody Starter) have a son and a daughter, and we run a family care home for persons with disabilities, and provide respite care for other community-based clients.
We are currently converting our operation from a wholesale commercial supplier to an Independent Direct to Consumer Grower. Specializing in Non-Gmo products in Chicken and Turkeys. We accept custom orders in Whole Birds, Parts, Sausages, Pepperoni. We can supply small personal orders or large orders for Special Occasions, Weddings, Conferences, or Community Events.
Have you ever wanted to grow your own chicken? We can help you do that too. As a registered Chick Broker, we can get you started growing your own. Contact Josh or Jody at email@example.com

“Terra Nossa” means “Our Land” in Portuguese, and our road name “Kilmalu” means “Welcome” in Maori: we welcome you to our 26 acre farm located in the heart of the banana belt of the Cowichan Valley.
We are fortunate enough to have gentle southern slopes, warm ocean breezes and lots of water, perfect for our livestock consisting of layers, broilers, turkeys and pigs and our crops of thornless blackberries, goji berries and a truffier with 100 oak trees and 300 hazelnut trees inoculated with the Perigord Black Truffle. Our farm is in the transition phase of organic certification. We use 100% certified organic feed and organic practices.
Farm visits and sales:
Our products are available at our on-farm store. Please call for hours.
We left city life in 2010 to make the farm our home. Our 7 acres of land is home to 75 goats (and counting), many chickens, 3 cats, and 1 dog. We hand craft small batches of aged, raw goats’ milk cheese using only fresh milk from our herd. Aged, hard cheeses with a natural rind are our specialty. We also produce seasonal goods including garlic and pasture-raised poultry and eggs.
Farm gate poultry and meat sales are by appointment only by calling 250 701 7533. When in season, eggs are available from a self-serve fridge behind the white house. At this time we do not retail cheese from the farm.
