Welcome!

The Cowichan Agricultural Society and Farmers' Institute (CAS) is a registered, non-profit society comprised of voluntary members who live and farm in the Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island, British Columbia.
Local Involvement
The society strives to serve the needs of the local agricultural community, meeting monthly to identify and address issues of interest and concern to local farms, local farmers, and agricultural stakeholders in Duncan, BC and the surrounding communities.
Wider Representation
Members of CAS also sit on committees in the wider community, advocating for farmers' interests at community, municipal, provincial and federal levels.
Come to a CAS Meeting
New and established farmers, and anyone interested in local agriculture are welcome to join us at 7:00 pm on the first Wednesday of every month at the CAS hall, 5855 Clements St., in Duncan, British Columbia.  In the summer, regular meetings are replaced with farm tours, and usually a Christmas party in December.

About

Our member farms feed the Cowichan and Vancouver Island community with vegetables, fruit, honey, nuts, meat, eggs, hay, Christmas trees, wine and tea. They also provide services, from haying to strategic planning.
